Tips for registration

Please fill in the following form considering the following details:

  • Fields with an orange headline are mandatory
  • The URL and the email-address must be in the same domain
  • make sure your email-address is filled in correctly as we'll send you further information to this address
  • The description must be at least 500 characters long
  • Specials mean e.g. overnight shipping, delivery within 24 hours, gift certificate, etc.
  • Choose proper Title, Description and Keywords for the meta tags. Keyword stuffing is use- and senseless. A correct Title and a meaningful Description are the crucial elements of the meta tags because THEY are what you see ( in bold the Title, underneath the Description ) in the search engine listings. Just think of what you are looking for and what makes you click on a link when using the search engines yourself!
 
 

Use the form below to submit your site's info. Please review the terms below and our TOS before submitting the form. After submitting, please log in to your account to obtain your custom counter code for a free listing, or choose one of the paid inclusion options.

  • Shopulate.com will only accept family friendly sites!
  • Your site must be an online shop/ online store and must be placed in the appropriate category. If a category is not present that you feel would be a benefit to our visitors, please use the suggestion box in the application form. We appreciate any input you may have.
  • Online stores are ranked based on our very own ranking algorithm on Shopulate.com. One of the parameters is provided by a counter. The four best ranking stores in each top category plus a random fifth will be listed on the main page and have a direct link to their shops micro site on Shopulate.com.
  • This custom code found in your account area must be placed in it's entirety on your home page. Altered code can result in your hits not being counted. Attempts to hide the counter button on your site will result in the site being removed and possibly banned from the directory. To maintain the integrity of the directory, sites and a site's information will be checked regularly for accuracy and attempts to cheat. Sites found attempting to intentionally manipulate their listing on Shopulate.com will be deleted and possibly banned.
  • The code should only be placed on your page once. The counter only counts unique visitors, therefore having the code more than once on a page will have NO effect on your rankings.
  • You may register an unlimited number of online stores, but you will need to register each shop separately and create separate accounts. Multiple registrations of the same site will result in your site being removed and possibly banned from the directory.
  • As with anything internet related, there will be spam. Spamming sites will be removed. We also ask our members to inform us if you find any sites listed that are violating our eligibility requirements. Our goal is to provide a useful resource and greatly appreciate your help in maintaining the integrity of the directory.
  • Please use the actual name of your site as the title for your listing. Choose proper Title, Description and Keywords for the Meta tags for each an every of your pages.   • Shops may list an unlimited number of products/ categories with picture and description. We provide an XML function for mass uploads with a sample file which can be found in your account.
  • By submitting your registration you are agreeing to all the terms of these guidelines and to our TOS. Also by submitting your registration you release Shopulate.com from any and all liability resulting from the use of our site or code.

  • Your information will not be shared with anyone. The purpose of Shopulate.com is to offer a useful shopping directory to visitors and provide targeted traffic to online stores. Shopulate.com specialises on small business retail stores, but nicely designed affiliate stores are also welcome.

  • For your site to be listed for free you must add the custom code found in your account to your homepage.

    If you would like your site listed and do not wish to place any code on your site, you must choose one of the paid inclusion options. This charge also helps keep the directory from becoming littered with substandard sites.
